The Kok Majid jetty seen here with a PAS flagship. A very common view in many places around Kelantan.
Kok Majid is located in Sungai Pinang, in the district of Tumpat. To reach Kok Majid via road, you can go from Wakaf Bharu roundabout with the direction to Morak. After reaching Palekbang, you should choose the route to Kampung Laut. From Kampung Laut then you can reach Sungai Pinang and go to Kok Majid.
If you are from Tumpat, the access road is via a road near Sedar which go to Gerong. This road is just a short distance away from the Fire Station of Tumpat. You should see a signboard which show Jetty Kok Majid when approaching this road.
It also can be accessed through Sungai Kelantan. You can take the boat from Kota Bharu Jetty which go to Kampung Laut. From Kampung Laut, you must travel a little bit by motorcycle to reach Kok Majid. It must be easier though if you have relatives staying around there.
Kok Majid is governed under the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Pasir Pekan. The assemblyman of DUN Pasir Pekan is fondly called Ustaz Mat by local. He is the deputy MB of Kelantan. The MP of Tumpat meanwhile is Dato Kamaruddin Jaafar, a former UMNO member and a close associate of Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim.
The main activity here is agriculture and and also small business. There are quite lot of paddy field here around Kok Majid.
Every Saturday morning there will be an aggro market and there is a variety of stuff sold here. The price of land here is increasing by day and year. A very modest brick houses from a local developer is sold here with a price tag of a whopping RM 150 k.

I used to go to Pulau Suri via Kok Majid. Tourists like the boat ride to Pulau Suri. The journey via Kuala Besar is too short so going via Kok Majid is better.
Pak Zawi, I know there are many islands around Kok Majid.I as the son-in-law of Kok Majid resident is just beginning to explore Kok Majid too. Thanks for info sharing.
RM150k is not the current price now I think, with the increase in oil price, cement, steel bar, bricks, quarry products etc, the last year price of RM150k become RM160k at least.
Tumpat town and the kampungs nearby nothing changed much even after 10 years, it is like a paradise that not 'touched' by the development.
nsc, you are right, but time made the price of land hiking. So, it is quite difficult for me.
